Phil and I are on a mini fall vacation so I decided to blog and add a few photos as we go. Our first stop was in Hamilton, Ohio to visit Phil's brother and wife, Dave and Mary Ann. It has been too long since we had seen them. While in Ohio, we were able to reconnect with dear friends, Ardell and her daughter Ann. This summer we stayed with Ardell's daughter, Kay at their sheep ranch in Montana.
From Ohio we drove to Gatlinburg, TN and will be here for two weeks. As we drive around there is plenty of color changes in some areas, mainly yellows and green, while in other areas very little color. Reds and purples are rarely seen. The weather has been warm in 70's with both sun and rain. Local residents tell us
more color will be coming with this weather. There are wonderful hiking trails throughout the Smoky Mountains. We are trying to balance our vacation instead of just hiking. Today we went to Dollywood. It rained most of the time. It is amazing to see Dolly's tiny dresses and shoes plus all of her awards in the museum. An incredible story. Earlier in the week we drove the Arts and Crafts Trail which features local artists. There were 100+ stops but far less working artists. No, we did not stop at everyone!
The sun should be shining until Monday so we will be hiking in the Smokies!

Colors look better there than they were here. Have fun hiking, "shopping," etc.
