Porters Creek, Smoky Mountains



Today we hiked a trail that followed the Porters Creek for approximately 4 miles.  At this point Phil decided to take a video of the creek.  It was a beautiful day and great hike but not too much color.  Be sure your volume is on so you can heard the rushing water!

First time I have posted a video and it worked!   Since the first one worked, I'll show the second one.

Tomorrow the weather should be clear so we will drive to Clingmans Dome, elevation 6,643 feet.  The trail at the top connects to the Appalachian Trail.  We plan to hike out to Charlie's Bunion which passes through a spruce-fir forest with spectacular views.  I sure hope the weather cooperates.
