We arrived in Pinedale on Monday around noon after an early start from Laramie. You may remember that Mark had lived here from Sept-May. So we had to check out the town and hike in this area before we leave for the Tetans. We have two "neighbors" in the park; a retired couple that live fulltime in their RV and a younger also retired couple that travel for 6 months of the year . Phil he has bought another memory card for the camera, as he is taking so many photos! Mark is now in Salt Lake City and maybe he can join us for a few days in the Tetons. That would be fantastic!
Today we hiked in the Bridger National Forest. It was a 30 mile drive on the highway and then 20 more miles on a dirt road. If you have heard the term washboard, then you know the bumpy ride we
experienced. Just glad we were not pulling the RV. Mark had suggested the Green River Lakes Trail. An outstanding selection and a 10 miles hike (felt like 15)! This trail was busy and Phil likes to chat with hikers on the trail. We met a man who started May 15th from New Mexico and heading to Canada. Also passed a group of 15 young adults from Laramie who were on a mission hiking training adventure. This was their last day after being out 41 days. Two guys are pictured below.

Thank God for man-made bridges. |

The pine beetle is destroying only pine trees in so many forests.

I am having problems tonight with this blog. So ignore the symbols around the first photo and the same picture of me twice. Guess I don't want you all to forget what I look like. Maybe if anyone reading this can offer a suggestion in how to remove those symbols plus I don't know how they got there!
Don't worry about the symbols as one doesn't notice them compared to the photos. I have tried to post comments previously, but they don't seem to show up. I'll try something different today.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are having wonderful weather to enjoy the scenery!
