We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We ate a turkey sandwich at the beach. Picture perfect day; 70's, no wind, and a blue sky. The campground has more families here, probably just for the long weekend.
The WiFi at the park is quite disappointing and I am glad I purchased a monthly pay as needed plan with Verizon for the iPad. The photo editing program Phil uses is on the laptop so I do not have access to his photos. Guess I'll have to start taking pictures with this iPad.
Camping makes me realize how much time one spends indoors when at home. Just having the screen door open (our only door) really connects us to the outdoors. Maybe that is one of the reason people sell their home and live full-time in the RV. It has surprised us that not all full timers live in motor buses and there still are campers living in " canvas" for 3-4 months. This 5th wheel was definitely a good purchase for us and seems to be more than enough room!
Today we are going to drive about 2 hours to Atmore, AL for a Thanksgiving Powwow at the Poarch Creek Reservation. Should be quite interesting and entertaining. We are going with another couple who live full-time in their RV. It will be fun to hear all about the travels.
A few more planned activities have started and there are many Christmas events in the nearby towns. Our friends, Jed & Sarah from Kankakee, IL will be here soon and we are really looking forward to their visit.
We had planned on being home around December 26th. Since our rate here is monthly, we now plan on staying all of December and start the drive home on Jan 1st.
