I have decided to try this blog thing to share our adventures as we head out on our first extended vacation with the RV. Departure date is set for July 21. Phil has mapped out the route and camping reservations have been made.
During this trip we will be hiking in the Medicine Bow National Forest near Laramine, WY and the Wind River Valley near Pinedale, WY. Then off to Tetons, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. Along the way we will visit friends in MT who have a sheep ranch.
Mark tells us to soak our hiking clothes in Permethrine, an insect repellent solution, be sure to bring those ugly but necessary head bug nets, and bring bear spray cannisters for the hiking around Pinedale. Sounds interesting??
As of now, this is a month long trip. Everyone tells us we need to visit Banff in Canada so we will take the passports. Of course we plan on visiting with Mark in Utah on the return trip. So who knowns how long we will be gone.
Chris or Mark will mow the grass, water the flowers, and watch the house. It will be strange to not see Chris for that long of a time. More to come closer to departure date!
