Hiking, swimming, and relaxation!

Today we hiked the Fairyland trail, that connected to the Fairyview trail, that connect to the Upper Rim trail for an 8 mile loop.  We climbed down into the canyon and then up and down for miles.  At times we had the canyon on our right and the national forest on our left.  We both enjoyed the trails.  It was not crowded  today and everyone seemed to be enjoying the views. Here are some pictures from Saturday taken by Phil.

Bryce Canyon from Sunset Point

Many, many switchbacks as we decend apprx  600 ft into the canyon

Reached the bottom!  It was very crowded on Saturday.

The area was crowded on Saturday but seemed less crowded today. This campground is less than 1/3 full.
There is a pool here and this afternoon we swam for a short time and enjoyed the hot tub. We would have stayed longer but the sun was hidden by clouds. This evening has been very pleasant. Cool breeze, no bugs, and about 74 outside at this time. But we will close the windows as it is supposed to be in the 40's overnight.

Tomorrow we are taking a short drive out of the park and visit Kodachrome Basin State Park.  Hoping to see some very colorful stone formations.

Hope everyone is enjoying the 3 day weekend!

We're NOT that crazy  !!!!!!!!!!!!
